Job Summary: Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is now hiring an Administrative Assistant in the Office of Study Abroad & Global Engagement. The Administrative Assistant supports Study Abroad & Global Engagement (SAGE) at each of the University’s campuses (Daytona Beach, Prescott, & Worldwide). The Office of Global Engagement currently serves over 300 students and is continuing to experience growth and increased activity. The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the Office of Study Abroad & Global Engagement Director and staff within all aspects of student success. They will manage the daily administrative tasks and general scheduling for SAGE programs.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Assists in the creation and distribution of marketing materials at the request and direction of SAGE coordinators and advisors
  •  Assists in the logistics for training, outreach, or other events as needed to include scheduling rooms, van reservations, tables, chairs, food ordering, marketing, and other logistics
  • Coordinates any maintenance and IT requests and follow-up
  • Acts as SME for study abroad software, requesting assistance, troubleshooting, setting up landing pages, and other international education software support
  • Responds to needs/concerns/questions in absence of the Director/staff.
  • Assist in the creation of student registration for study abroad programs at the direction of the Director and/or campus Study Abroad Advisors
  • Coordinates travel arrangements and program activities for faculty and staff
  • Assists Financial Specialist with the tracking of travel expenses for staff and faculty
  • Provides administrative support for faculty and staff related to faculty-led study abroad
  • Assists Director with tracking of data and other metrics to support operations and strategic planning

  

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • High school (or GED) level ability in spelling, grammar, basic competition, and math

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of performing administrative work
  • Strong organizational skills, highly detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task
  • Team player with a strong commitment to service
