Job Summary

This intermediate level position gathers and analyzes various supply chain functional data in order to optimize the execution of supply chain activities.


Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Performs analysis and reporting on supply chain activities that may include, but are not limited to: strategic sourcing, market intelligence, materials, contracts, supplier information, supplier performance metrics and compliance under general supervision

  • Gathers, tracks and creates tools to report data related to spend, savings, key performance indicators and supplier or departmental performance 

  • Identifies and resolves data governance issues with key stakeholders

  • Responds to internal and external inquiries and collaborates with senior level staff on various supply chain functions as needed

  • Assists with the organization and standardization documentation in support of various supply chain activities

  • Identifies and supports continuous improvement initiatives to drive value, lower costs and allow for more efficient operations across all aspects of supply chain

  • Performs other duties as assigned


Job Specific Skills

  • Intermediate knowledge of systems such as Systems Applications Programs (SAP) and Ariba

  • Intermediate knowledge of supply chain concepts (demand planning, forecasting, spend analytics, strategic sourcing process, continuous improvement, inventory management, procurement)

  • Intermediate understanding of Excel and other analytical tools

  • Ability to perform analysis on large sets of data to draw conclusions to improve business operations


Education

Minimum: High school diploma or GED


 


Preferred: Bachelor’s degree - from accredited university - Supply Chain Management or related field


Experience

Minimum: 2 - 5 years related work experience
