Overview






Halifax Health is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst for the Purchasing Department.









Summary






Under general supervision, formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. Includes analysis of business and user needs documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications. Performs daily operational tasks in ERP and other supply chain information systems.









Job Qualifications






  • Associate or Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant certification in information systems, supply chain management (with focus on information systems), or other related majors
  • At least 3 years of Supply Chain experience in a hospital setting
  • Demonstrated analytical skills. Experience with MMIS such as Meditech, Oracle, or Workday. Preference for individuals performing daily operational tasks in ERP Supply Chain module
  • Experience with multiple software applications, systems analysis/design, Integration/design, or web applications/design.
  • Ability to query and analyze data from ERP, Inventory and Requisitioning systems, Data Warehouse, and other supply chain information systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, Tableau, SQL, and other business intelligence tools. 
  • Capable of working well in a diverse, multi-disciplinary team and successfully interacting with others at all levels of the organization.
  • Must be highly attentive to detail, flexible and customer service oriented.
  • Solid skills in documenting and analyzing business processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and effective presentation skills.
  • Ability to plan and facilitate meetings.
  • Ability to maintain a professional attitude and demeanor in both normal and pressure situations.
  • Proven skills in problem solving.








Job Duties and Responsibilities






  1. Analyzes business and user needs
  2. Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives
  3. Revises existing (problematic) system logic
  4. Functions as interface between Supply Chain Services, IT, and vendors; coordinates application modifications that apply to multiple systems.
  5. Evaluate most business implications of technology on the current business environment
  6. Able to correlate business, management and information technology function
  7. Represents SCS in other departmental meetings or committees and participates in planning for future information systems needs.
  8. Analyzes and recommends system improvements to promote overall effectiveness.
  9. Performs daily operational tasks in ERP and other supply chain information systems
  10. Ensures effective and successful upgrades, interfaces, and activation of systems and provides follow-up monitoring.
  11. Ensures functional accuracy, completes impact analysis and performs appropriate system testing before introducing changes into the production environment.
  12. Develops and maintains reports and other department metrics used to measure, track and trend continuous improvement.
  13. Performs all necessary functions associated with maintaining and updating the MMIS system throughout the supply chain including electronic data interfaces with vendors and GHX.
  14. Identifies issues, problems and opportunities; proactively recognizes the need for improvement.
  15. Works with others to develop a sense of common purpose; understands different perspectives on issues; gathers and examines information available.
  16. Formulates clear decision criteria; evaluates options by considering implications and consequences; chooses an effective option.
  17. Commits to implementation and works with a sense of urgency and a bias for action to implement the decision.

  21. Manages, optimizes, and automates information flow in supply chain information systems
  22. Produces ad hoc and scheduled reports.
  23. Responsible for maintaining data integrity in the MMIS system.
  24. Work with user areas to develop and conduct continuing education sessions and new employee training.
  25. Other duties as assigned.
