Job Description

SUMMARY:
Under limited supervision, the Supply Chain Analyst manages the purchasing,
relationship, and overall supply chain performance of a supplier core group to include on-time delivery, product quality, negotiating pricing, and master data integrity.


JOB DUTIES
• Manages all aspects of analysis including significant demand forecasting, cost savings, slow moving inventory and support of our sales and operations process.
• Manages all procurement for a family of parts including PO management, product knowledge, substitutions, second sourcing, expedites, and all related receival and invoicing issues.
• Converts supplier requisitions and processes purchase orders, expedites purchase orders, manages past due purchase orders, using the system tools and reports.
• Reviews slow and non-moving inventories of position’s suppliers.
• Resolves any supplier discrepancies with accounting, inventory control, or shipping and coordinates logistics and freight issues with suppliers and receiving department.
• Develops and implements improved methodologies for sourcing long lead time parts of multiple overseas suppliers.
• Reconciles supplier returns (MRR and CAR process) to recoup quality issues.
• Reviews supplier performance including quality, pricing, delivery, quality and any other issues.
• Responsible for negotiating supplier pricing, terms, discounts and rebates.
• Improves communication around abnormal trends and variations that may affect our supply chain.
• Finds and on-boarding new suppliers that increase our capabilities and reduce costs.
• Manages master data and inventory preferences for all parts/commodities in a family of parts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts and using data to make improvements
• Strong project management, data mining and analysis skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment and handle multiple tasks and projects
• Collaboration and communication skills required with experience working on multifunctional teams preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing planning processes is desired.
• Knowledge in lean, six sigma tools and problem-solving methodology.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
In going back and forth between plant and office environments there is some exposure to heat, moderate noise, moving pieces of equipment and dust/flying particles.
