Cherokee Federal is seeking a highly skilled Technical Procurement Specialist -- Engineer II. This role involves preparing technical procurement packages, developing engineering drawings, and providing exceptional customer support. The ideal candidate will have a background in electronics or mechanics, with drafting skills and the ability to work with databases and procurement systems.
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Technical Procurement Specialist Engineer: $70,000-$82,000
Pay commensurate with experience.
Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.
Technical Procurement Specialist Engineer Responsibilities Include:
- Technical Procurement Assistance
- Prepare technical procurement packages
- Process special orders including preparing requisitions, justifications, and salient specifications
- Scan, input, and update procurement data into various databases and programs
- Drafting Support
- Develop engineering drawings for instruments and equipment
- Work from design sketches and/or prototype equipment
- Ensure drawings fully and correctly describe design requirements and incorporate manufacturing concerns
- Perform first-level checks of drawings prepared by others
- Illustrations and Documentation
- Prepare illustrations and schematics for manuals, publications, or presentations
- Take photos and maintain associated equipment
- Maintain drawing files and produce and distribute copies of engineering drawings
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Technical Procurement Specialist Engineer Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
- Relevant educational background in fields such as hydrology, electronics, mechanics, computer-aided drafting preferred.
- Knowledge of hydrologic data collection and instrumentation
- Skills in drafting and developing engineering drawings
- Ability to work with databases and procurement systems
- Proficiency in preparing technical documents and illustrations
- Customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders
- Mechanical and electronic troubleshooting skills
- Understanding of warehousing and logistics for hydrologic equipment
- Experience in hydrology, electronics, mechanics, or a related field
- Experience in technical procurement and drafting support
- Experience with hydrologic instruments and equipment development and maintenance
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
