What You'll Do:


As a Trade Compliance Analyst II, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, accountable for maintaining our right to operate by ensuring compliance with trade regulations and deploying trade programs that maintain or improve our competitive advantage You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life. This role works closely with internal parties including the trade compliance, master data center of excellence, other supply chain departments, and Information Technology. This role reports to the Regional Trade Compliance Manager and may have opportunity to act as project lead.    


 


What We're Looking For:



  • Act as regulatory lead for a country within the region by reviewing and interpreting new regulations and recommending a course of action to remain compliant.

  • Support other team members with questions and problem-solving regarding import regulations and processes.

  • Act as lead for self-audits and internal audits including identifying and implementing corrective action.

  • Responsible for annual regional free trade campaign including preference analysis in Global Trade Services (GTS) module of SAP, issuing certificates to internal and external customers, and responding to inquiries.

  • Analyze and review reports prepared for payment, month end closing, and other periodic reporting. Implementing automated solutions where possible.

  • Lead the implementation of identified trade opportunities (duty drawback, bonded warehouses, duty suspension, etc.)

  • Evaluate and release SAP holds for moderate/high complexity system controls. Assist with the implementation of new SAP controls by working with IT and management.


Skills That Make a Difference:



  • Bachelor's degree in business, Logistics/Supply Chain, or other related fields.

  • Experience in compliance, supply chain, or related field.



  • Demonstrated proficiency in processing import shipments accurately and efficiently.

  • Experience supporting impact assessments and implementing low complexity solutions.

  • Strong knowledge of regional free trade agreement regulations including reading and interpreting rules of origin.

  • Experience with various analytical tools and techniques including knowledge of Lubrizol reporting tools.

  • Able to analyze required information for audits and assess compliance with regulations. Ability to identify issues and root cause.

  • Strong knowledge of Lubrizol systems and trade networks, attention to detail with a holistic mindset, strong project management skills. APCIS CPIM certification or equivalent preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of regional trade regulations and attention to detail.
