Job Description

Purpose:


Trade Compliance Coordinators provide support with free trade agreements, auditing, and record keeping within NSG Group to ensure import and export compliance with regulatory standards. The position supports the company’s compliance with laws, rules, regulations, and company policy and promotes an ethical culture.


 


Essential Functions:



  • Implement and conduct post entry audits on import, export, and receiving documents to ensure compliance with customs laws, rules, regulations, and internal company policies

  • Maintain audit logs.

  • Report audit findings and work with brokers on document corrections.

  • Solicit suppliers for updated, applicable Free Trade Agreements.

  • Maintain FTA database and send to applicable Customs Broker

  • Calculate country of origin of parts and determine Free Trade Agreement eligibility for NSG Group produced parts.

  • Update and maintain global HTS classification database.

  • Distribute updates monthly to Customs Brokers.

  • Conduct NAVEX/ABAC Third Party onboarding and monitor current partners.

  • Alert business units of any compliance risks.

  • Identify and track Key Roles, issue communications and online education for new roles.

  • Maintain Ethics and Compliance Master List.

  • Issue communications and online education for all new starters.

  • Ensure any annual education requirements are managed.

  • Maintain accurate files and adhere to all NSG Group record keeping requirements

  • Adherence to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its Values and Principles

  • Other duties as assigned by manager


 


Scope/Dimensions:



  • This position will interact with both internal and external customers and vendors.

  • This position will collaborate closely with colleagues across various levels and departments in North America.

Qualifications Required:



  •  Bachelor’s degree in a related field (IT, International Business, Business admin, or Supply Chain) or equivalent experience.

  • General knowledge of Ethics & Compliance and Trade compliance

  • Intermediate level of knowledge in Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and PowerPoint. 

  • Experience with web-based software and portals.

Salary Range: $44,484 - $66,720
