We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Operations Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to learn and contribute to various aspects of business operations, including import and export compliance, project management, and data analytics. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in business processes and a desire to develop skills in a real-world setting.

As part of the team, you will:

  • Business Functionality: Assist in understanding and documenting business processes and workflows. Participate in cross-functional meetings to gain insights into different departments.
  • Import and Export Compliance: Support the trade compliance team in ensuring adherence to import and export regulations. Help with documentation, record-keeping, and compliance audits. Assist with export screening and other export controls. Learn about special trade programs, supply chain fundamentals, and import/export regulations.
  • Project Management: Collaborate with project managers on various projects. Assist in project planning, scheduling, and tracking progress. Learn to use Alfa Laval project management tools and methodologies.
  • Data Analytics: Collect, analyze, and interpret data to support business decisions. Use data to provide informed business recommendations. Create reports and dashboards to visualize data trends and insights. Work with data analytics software and tools.

What you know

  • Working towards an Associate's or Bachelor's degree - preferably a Bachelor's in Business or Supply Chain
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple short-term tasks
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must have a positive customer-focused attitude.
  • Strong PC skills 

At Alfa Laval, we carefully consider a wide range of factors to determine your total compensation package. We rely on market indicators and consider your specific job, background, skills, and experience to get it right.  The hourly rate for this role is typically $16 - $18.
