Our team is looking for a Trade Compliance Specialist II to join them. You will report to the Head of Export Control and will have an onsite work structure in Miramar, FL

To be considered for the Trade Compliance Specialist II opening, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you: 

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.  Education plus 6 years' Trade Compliance experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 4 years of Trade Compliance experience required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in aerospace industry / MRO is desired.
  • Documented ITAR/EAR Classification experience is required.
  • Two years of documented experience in preparing and submitting applications for export licenses is required.  Empowered Official experience is a plus.
  • HTS/Schedule B classification is required.
  • Foundational experience with AES and EEI filing is required.
  • Microsoft Office and DPS Screening experience required. Experience with Syteline ERP is a plus.
     

As a Trade Compliance Specialist II, you will: 

  • Interface with all Miramar site personnel, customers, and suppliers using a customer experience approach.
  • Be responsible for all Trade Compliance functions at the Miramar site.
  • Perform all activities with minimal supervision and in compliance with Government rules and regulations, organizational policies and procedures, and departmental goals and objectives.
  • Perform timely review of export-related new order and shipping documents to ensure all required documents are compliant prior to export to facilitate MRO turn-around time.
  • Verify/determine Schedule B Classification/Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) for site exports/imports to ensure accuracy in documentation.
  • Perform Denied Party Screenings (DPS) using Descartes Visual Compliance.
  • Ensure Third-Party Vetting due diligence has been completed/approved for all new vendors and customers.
  • Participate in site meetings as needed/requested to provide status updates of Trade Compliance action items.
  • Review classification of all ITAR/EAR products and technology and maintain classification database.
  • Submit Commodity Jurisdiction (CJ) and Commodity Classification Automated Tracking System Requests (CCATS), as needed, to ensure products/technology are accurately classified.
  • Perform timely auditing of associated EEI filings and submit corrections within time limits.
  • Maintain import and export records in accordance with regulatory recordkeeping requirements.
  • Participate in cross-training with Trade Compliance staff at other Ontic US sites to ensure adequate Trade Compliance coverage is available across sites at all times.
  • Diligently and professionally manage other tasks, projects and/or responsibilities as assigned and/or delegated by the Head of Export Control - US.

Compensation Pay Range

$80,000-$90,000, dependent upon experience
