Job Summary
The Trade Compliance Specialist will support the company to ensure compliance with applicable local and regional trade compliance laws and regulations. Work closely with Corporate Trade Compliance Personnel. As TCS you will be the primary point of contract for internal and external customers related to all trade compliance activities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Stay current on local and regional trade compliance regulations and report changes that may impact the trade compliance program
- Provide advice for product, destination or re-export license determination and technology screening
- Perform transactional due diligence for international visitors
- Perform and analyze transactions for which due diligence indicates potential risk.
- Prepare, review, and coordinate with corporate Trade Compliance and/or compliance manager for submittal of license applications (Department of State and Commerce) for the export of controlled goods and technology.
- Submit required licenses through OCR and SNAP-R as required.
- Coordinate with internal and external customers on the status of all licenses.
- Resolve all Trade Compliance issues ensuring approval of license to support business requirements.
- Analyze contracts and identify trade compliance issues.
- Work proactively with departments to prevent trade disruptions.
- Transact records in trade compliance information systems (e.g. OCR EASE Trade Compliance information system).
- Provide annual Trade Compliance re-fresher training to company employees
- Maintain TC repository/ records ensuring consistency and standardization.
- Understand and live by the Company’s ethics and business conduct policies
Qualifications
- Experience in using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) information systems
- Experience working with OCR or similar systems for license submittal
- Excellent communication and presentation skills

- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Must be a US citizen
Education/Previous Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or other related fields
- Minimum of 3 years of trade compliance experience
- Familiar with ITAR and EAR regulations, import/Export regulations and applicable exemptions
