Role & Responsibilities:
· Represent the company as a licensed professional, and potentially act as the Local Permit Holder.
· Ensure responsible Supervision over the branch’s Brokerage Operations, and train other departmental staff as needed on brokerage related issues.
· Process Customs Entries, ISF, ACH Statements, Post Summary Corrections, and other relevant brokerage services.
· Validate and maintain Customs Powers of Attorneys.
· Responding to customer inquiries on Customs and Other relevant Government Agency issues and requirements.
· Prepare Monthly Statistical and Management related reports for the Dept.
· Notify management of customer complaints or entry discrepancies and provide suggestions to resolve issues.
· Assure all brokerage files are accurate and reconciled.
· Close communication with customers, carriers, U.S. Customs, and CFS representatives.
· Coordinate and resolve any shipment issues with local office and overseas offices
· Complete workload duties within normal, reasonable time-period.
· Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Manager.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree preferred, OR if no degree, a combination of some college experience or AA degree from an accredited college, and relevant work experience.
· Three years minimum experience in most phases of the CHB function.
· Must have knowledge of the FTZ process.
· Should have a working knowledge of the terms and jargon that government agencies, vendors, carriers and customers use.
· Attention to detail, deadline-oriented, dependable, persistence, time management, independent, documentation skills, scheduling and reporting skills.
· Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and vendors.
· Proven ability to suggest and implement corrective actions in case of issues that may arise
