POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The position is responsible for developing and executing strategy for the Global Logistics/Trade as a part of our Global Supply Chain, which includes inbound freight to the DC (both import and domestic), Customs Clearance, Trade Compliance, Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) and Outbound Freight from the DC to stores and digital customers. Creates, directs, and executes Logistics strategies that will improve the supply chain and support company growth. This role must also partner with leadership to understand risks and develop risk mitigation strategies for all Global Logistics and Trade.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides overall direction for company’s Global Logistics and Trade function.
- Develops supply chain strategies to complement corporate goals and objectives.
- Identifies strategic improvement opportunities by benchmarking competitor’s operations and strategies to bring savings to the bottom line. This may include conducting sensitivity analyses.
- Ensures that incentives are met, creates budgets and tracks actual expenses, and builds critical links with key resources. Manages multiple budgets.
- Drives Drawback program with 3rd party and partners with each vendor for contract negations and data handovers.
- Drives software initiatives that provide supply chain visibility.
- Manages relationships with key support vendors to ensure optimum logistics strategies are successfully executed (ocean, air, TL, intermodal, parcel, dray, trans loader).
- Negotiates key contracts and manage third-party partnerships to minimize expense and receive world class service.
- Manages customs clearances at Ports of Entry. Ensures compliance requirements are met.
- Ensures support of, and compliance with, corporate C-TPAT initiatives and Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) through our KPMG partners.
- Directs customs compliance strategy and operations.
- Partners closely with Asia Logistics team and provides additional direction.
- Drives and manages the change associated with organizational growth.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA-BS degree is required, in a related field
- Must be a Licensed US Customs Broker preferred
- 8+ years of experience in domestic and international freight movement and Customs compliance
- Ability to track record that demonstrates continuous process of improved customer service and cost control
- Experience in RFP development and contract negotiations
- Proven track record of leadership in a dynamic environment
- Proficient PC skills
