Your Role
SAS Flight Factory is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support the procurement of raw materials, hardware, and outside service providers that will coordinate the manufacturing and assembly of prototype aerospace products through purchasing and inventory control efforts. This position collaborates with production, precision estimating, finance, quality, and IT departments to conduct business and operational support through effective procurement.

The annual salary for this role is $60,261.28 to $90,391.92. Compensation depends on the candidate’s work experience, education/training, and related skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support company demand by procuring goods, materials, equipment, and other relevant needs
- Promptly address and resolve procurement issues to minimize delays in production
- Verify purchase requisitions by comparing demand, communicate to resolve unclear items, and/or recommend alternatives or other supporting suppliers
- Flow information to all relevant parties to ensure the processing of purchase orders and deliveries in a timeframe that supports the company's success
- Recommend viable solutions to reduce purchasing costs and improve procurement process and quality
- Cultivate and support new vendor relationships regarding reliability, product quality, and cost efficiency
- Support cost, on-time delivery, quality, and vendor performance initiatives
- Assist with compiling status and performance reports to submit them to management and relevant departments in a timely manner
- Work cross-functionally to support/assist in monitoring inventory levels, planning demand, and any additional duties to determine purchase needs
- Maintain records of all transactions, purchase orders, and receipts in compliance with the company policies
- Review, monitor, and execute any updates to vendor/internal communications in the ERP system, including purchase order changes and transactions
- Assist with developing, testing, and/or implementing ERP functionality
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience
- Demonstrated self-initiated work in a team environment while adhering to deadlines
- Results-driven with a focus on continuous improvement
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge utilizing ERP and QMS systems, preferably JobBOSS and SimpleTrak (or equivalents)
- Ability and proficiency in research and deductive reasoning skills
- Ability to self-monitor and motivate while adhering to assignments and daily tasks
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Preferred Requirements:
- Individuals with experience in aerospace or similar fields or those with a background in supply chain, purchasing, or related areas
- Prior experience with precision machining and assembly environments
- Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and tools (Lean certification is a plus)
- Experience with Government & Defense contracts
