Description

Requires an understanding of Contracts, Letters of Credit, Incoterms, and Freight Logistics. Ability to work closely with internal departments (i.e., Sales, Operations, Shipping, etc.) to coordinate key initiatives in support of exceeding customer and company objectives. Ability to support execution of aspects of the life cycle of sales, including:

  • Managing planned shipments by month
  • Preparing and maintaining open order reports, shipping schedules, and other filings and data entries
  • Tracking invoices and payments
  • Coordinating imports and exports with freight forwarders
  • Coordinating with domestic and overseas vendors
  • Providing cost/benefit analyses, freight quotations, shipping solutions to sales and project management team
  • Troubleshooting logistics-related issues with logistics service providers, overseas vendors, and customers
  • Prepare Export documentation.
  • Coordinate with Compliance Team for vetting export licenses
  • Assist in developing and implementing new and revised departmental procedures.
  • Tracking export license approval status
  • Tracking blanket licenses and license exemption/exception allowances

Qualifications

Three-five years of solid logistics/production planning experience, preferably within the Defense Industry is a requirement. Good working knowledge of U.S. export/import licensing regulations including, but not limited to, Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Familiarity with Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).

Requires excellent communication skills in both oral and written forms. Diversified experience in sales administration, order management, and project proposals, in International/Government sales is a plus. Ability to work with foreign customers, cultures, and customs. Due to the nature of international business being conducted in differing time-zones, requires a willingness to check email out of normal business hours to address urgent matters related to logistics. Requires advanced capabilities with Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems.
