This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO.
Job Duties:
- Works with Northrop Grumman’s global supply chain to source and procure specialized goods and services in support of a portfolio of programs.
- Initiates Requests for Quotations and Proposals and analyzes proposed pricing from potential suppliers.
- Writes and awards subcontracts (if within delegated procurement authority) or obtains necessary approvals for subcontract award (if outside of delegated procurement authority).
- Post-award activities including, but not limited to, subcontract administration, modifications, tracking, validation and payment of invoices, and subcontract closeout. Monitors supplier quality, reliability, and ability to support required delivery schedule.
- Employs sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activities. Ensures that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation& warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recorded.
- Reviews and approves supplier payments as needed
- Assists in material receipt and property management documentation as required.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of Procurement, Supply Chain, Sourcing, or closely related business experience; OR a Master's degree and 1+ years of Procurement, Supply Chain, Sourcing, or closely related business experience; in lieu of degree, 7 years of experience may be considered
Preferred Qualifications:
- Supply chain experience for an aerospace and/or Defense Company.
- Procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Supply Chain or Procurement experience
- FAR/DFARS or government contracts experience
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP
- Experience working with high visibility commodities for space programs such as PWBs, CCAs, and cable assemblies
- Experience with MS Office including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills
Salary Range: $63,800.00 - $95,600.00Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
