SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for the supply chain organization. Works with their team to ensure alignment of material delivery schedules to need dates. Owns the supplier relationship to meet quality, delivery, and cost targets. Manage the purchase requisition approval process, the release of PO’s, order acknowledgements, and ensure timely resolution to material shortage issues. Manage the outbound shipping of our product line to our customers. Manage inventory, inventory transactions and inventory kitting to support production. Own the reporting of supplier metrics. Support cross functional teams to ensure commodity/product strategies and schedules are maintained as well as supporting other business functions as required.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Manage the performance of the supply chain team, ensure proper staffing levels, and provide mentorship for employees.
  • Work cross-functionally with Engineering, finance, operations, and front-end teams to derive metrics and align on supply chain strategies via the S&OP process that best position the business to exceed delivery commitments, inventory goals, and Annual Operating Plan adherence.
  • Establish and maintain supplier selection criteria for qualifying external providers to ensure predictable and favorable quality and delivery results.
  • Ensure Supply Chain Policies and Procedures meet the requirements of the AS9100 Quality Management System.
  • Lead, design, and implement critical path commodity purchasing strategies to ensure a stable and cost competitive supply base.
  • Lead a customer service focused Supply Chain Team through sourcing and purchasing of electronic components, printed circuit board assemblies, and machined parts.
  • Develop and continuously improve policies and procedures around material receipts, purchase order creation, demand planning, and logistics.
  • Provide executive level communication regarding supply base health, cost drivers, program material delivery schedules, anticipated risks and plans to mitigate those concerns.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service, both internal and external, by soliciting voice of the customer feedback.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • BA/BS degree and 5+ years of relevant experience including 3+ years managing direct reports.
  • Material forecasting (top down and bottom up)
  • Experience working with MS Office products

 Preferred

  • Experience with government contracting, FAR & DFAR
  • SAP Superuser
  • Experience in an AS9100 regulated manufacturing environment
  • APICs CPIM, CSP, or similar certification

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: This position supervises a small team including Buyers, Planner, and Inventory Technicians.

Washington state pay range: $120,000-150,000

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
