Are you looking for a new and unique opportunity? Do you like to research and gather data and information? We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT-Savvy Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leveraging your accounting expertise and technical acumen to drive automation initiatives and develop solutions for compliance with local requirements and comprehensive financial reporting packages for our International operations. As a team member in our organization's digital transformation journey, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, enhance data accuracy, and improve financial insights through cutting-edge technological solutions.

What you will do:

  • Automation Implementation: Identify opportunities for process automation within our International finance departments and across related functions. Design, develop, and implement automated solutions using appropriate software tools, scripting languages, and accounting systems to increase efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
  • Financial Reporting Packages: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, both internal and external. Design, create, and maintain financial reporting packages that deliver accurate and timely insights into the organization's financial performance. Ensure adherence to accounting standards, compliance, and local regulatory requirements.
  • ERP Integration: Work closely with IT and finance teams to integrate accounting processes with the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. Optimize the use of ERP functionalities to streamline financial operations and enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies in existing accounting processes and propose innovative solutions to streamline workflows, reduce redundancy, and enhance productivity.            
  • IT Solutions Evaluation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and accounting software. Evaluate and recommend company tools and IT solutions that align with the company's accounting and financial reporting objectives.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to finance team members in the adoption of new tools, automation processes, and reporting practices. Ensure a smooth transition to new systems and processes.
  • Assist with development of ad hoc reporting and analysis. Analyses are likely to include: analysis of trend data, interpretation of data and provide recommendations; ability to reach across diverse Accounting groups to obtain data.
  • Financial Analysis: Assist in financial analysis and performance evaluation, supporting decision-making processes with accurate and timely financial data.
  • Data Analysis and Validation: Analyze financial data and perform validation checks to ensure accuracy and consistency. Identify anomalies or discrepancies and take necessary corrective actions to maintain data integrity.
  • Data Security and Compliance: Ensure data security and privacy measures are in place for all financial reporting activities, adhering to company policies and relevant data protection regulations.
  • Serve as a liaison and business partner within the Accounting/Finance and IT departments to ensure financial reporting systems are working properly.
  • Assist business partners with financial reporting system application and administrative issues.
  • Assist with miscellaneous accounting activity and projects.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance. Emphasis on analysis preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Alteryx and Power BI.
  • Experience in implementing automation initiatives within the finance function.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software, ERP systems, and data visualization tools.
  • Advanced skills in data analysis and manipulation using spreadsheets and databases.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining data accuracy and integrity.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Continuous learning mindset to keep abreast of the latest developments in both accounting and IT domains.
  • Ability to interface and work with varying levels of the organization, from user to executive management.
