We have an opening for an International Marketing and Recruitment Manager to join our team at Oregon State University.

As the International and Marketing Recruitment Manager, you'll report directly to the Director of Marketing & Recruitment (DMR) and will assist with the strategic planning for, and execution of, international recruitment and marketing plans to drive international student enrollment to INTO Oregon State University and Oregon State University programs.

In addition to the strategic piece, you'll manage, organize and implement a wide range of projects focused on supporting student recruitment / enrollment goals, as well as support with general center marketing and communications activities, including events planning.

Domestic and international travel may be required to meet the demands of this position and may include working outside normal operating hours.

Key accountabilities and duties

The responsibilities of this position may change and develop over time but will include the following: 35% recruitment responsibilities; 65% marketing production and communications responsibilities.

  • Represent INTO OSU at recruitment fairs, exhibitions, and/or meetings both domestically and internationally as needed. Represent Oregon State University and present the programs, benefits and differentiators to agents, regional staff, government organizations, and others which may involve one-on-one meetings with prospective students, webinars, presentations, pre-departure training to admitted students, other impromptu meetings.
  • Provide prompt and accurate responses and support to internal and external audiences including students, agents, counsellors and regional staff.
  • Use analytical methods to identify recruitment opportunities
  • Generate and nurture leads for student candidates through a schedule of remote and in-person recruitment activities designed to help meet recruitment and enrollment goals.
  • Effectively manage and stay within the budget in line with the recruitment strategy
  • Manage, plan and execute a comprehensive, integrated marketing and communications plan that supports the center’s recruitment priorities.
  • Build a network of contacts within the OSU student body and with faculty and staff across campus to use for campus visits, webinar, seminars and media content.
  • Work with INTO Regional Marketing Teams to develop in-market marketing plans and support teams with execution.
  • Develop communication campaigns that increases conversion rates of offer holders to confirmed students 
  • Ensure the successful completion and meeting of deadlines related to all INTO NA marketing projects, including the brochure suite, print and digital assets and other projects, as assigned.
  • Exercise creative judgement in developing, managing and organizing print and digital content that promote enrollment growth initiatives in Oregon State University and INTO OSU programs. These materials include but are not limited to: brochures, flyers and other print collateral; video content, student testimonials; website content and social media posts, and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Produce engaging, student-facing content using new media techniques and platforms that support international student recruitment. 
  • Serve as the lead events planner organizing various recruiting and marketing focused on-campus events that promote Oregon State University.
  • Coordinate and manage of logistics and activity for multi-day campus visits for international audiences of recruiters, educational counsellors and INTO staff.
  • Manage prospective student visits and campus tours.
  • Manage, order, and budget for all promotional materials for INTO Oregon State University ensuring proper Oregon State University and INTO branding guidelines are met.
  • Work with OSU’s Marketing team for asset development and management
  • Other duties as assigned.
