Overview

The International CSR is chiefly responsible for providing full-cycle, exceptional customer service to dedicated international accounts in a fast-paced and exciting environment.

Responsibilities

• Generate new and repeat international sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner
• Determine international customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions
• Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications
• Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes or returns
• Provide accurate information regarding availability of items
• Manage portfolio of assigned accounts and international sales representatives
• Monitor accounts orders, returns, and service calls to ensure timely delivery/resolution
• Educate customers about terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction
• Manage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with members in other departments
• Work closely with freight forwarders to facilitate the movement of outbound international shipments
• Follow company policies and procedures
• Present a professional image at all times to customers and vendors
• Handle letters of credit and other payment choices
• Accomplish all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a business related field strongly preferred
• 5+ years’ experience in customer service, hospitality a plus
• Proficient with MS Office applications and CRM applications
• Outstanding customer relations skills
• Knowledge of international shipping documentation and international transportation regulations
• Knowledge of import/export transportation economics
• Ability to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently
• Understand the financial and operational responsibilities of both the buyer and seller
• Meticulous attention to details; commitment to producing quality product
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work well under stress
• Ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
