The Trade Team is responsible to ensure proper execution of the total dollars spent on Trade Promotions. These funds are utilized to obtain incremental business for the organization, achieve new distribution across multiple channels, increase business with current customers, and run promotions with the goal of attracting new consumers to the Saputo brands.

How you will make contributions that matter...

  • Manage Trade systems TPM and Vistex for front end process compliance, execution of Trade promotions, and settlement of Trade deals 
  • Responsible for alignment of Trade methods to company policies 
  • Ensure that accrual of trade dollars matches correct customers and desired dollar amounts 
  • Analyze invoice and billing discrepancies to resolve issues, modify programs and report across the organization as necessary. 
  • Analyze Trade dispute cases utilizing BI Reporting, Trade Planners and the promotional agreements in TPM and Vistex to resolve billing discrepancies. 
  • Manage the settlement process for Vistex and TPM by analyzing and clearing dispute cases. 
  • Manage communication with Sales Managers, Brokers and Customers to resolve issues relating to Dispute Case, Trade, and Promotion discrepancies. 
  • Address discrepancies between the Trade Planner, the promotional agreement in SAP TPM and Vistex and the customer claim. 
  • Generate Trade reports for various functional teams and customers utilizing BI, SAP TPM and Vistex. 
  • Maintain Trade Spend and volumes for indirect customer rebate programs and the history of the programs. 
  • Ensure timely and accurate payments including RRFs, MVPs, and other expenses working with Accounts Payable for proper processing and execution.  
  • Manage communication with Sales Managers, Brokers and Customers to resolve issues relating to Dispute Case, Trade, and Promotion discrepancies. 
  • Assist sales to help facilitate trade improvements/changes to produce maximum ROI. 
  • Manage ad-hoc projects as requested by the Trade Manager or other cross functional teams. 
  • Analyze opportunities to improve Trade tools, forms and other documents utilized to capture Trade Spend.

You are best suited for the role if you…

  • Business-related Bachelor's degree and/or 1-3 years of work experience in Sales Finance, Business Development, Category Management, Sales, Trade analytics or Revenue Management.  
  • Strong organizational skills and sense of urgency 
  • Strong problem-solving skills 
  • Skilled in Microsoft office, especially Excel using pivot tables and VLOOKUP and PowerPoint 
  • Experience with SAP and Trade Promotion Programs is a plus (Vistex)
  • Ability to work independently and handle tasks effectively 
  • Communicate effectively to customers, both internal and external 
  • Experience with IRI and/or Nielsen data and how to fuse with internal data for full analysis a plus.
