This position has primary responsibility for leading the implementation of the Collins Global Trade (GT) policies/procedures, manage authorizations program, execute communications and training plans, and lead Digital Technology (DT) initiatives for Interior Systems strategic business unit. The individual will serve as a liaison and provide GT guidance to others within the enterprise and must possess the ability to establish close working relationships with the business unit representatives in the US and internationally. This role is remote with 5-10% travel (US and international).

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Extensive knowledge and ability to apply specialized area of trade compliance including the EAR and ITAR.
  • Implement and sustain the trade compliance program, policies, and procedures, and coordinate the balloting and release of procedures.
  • Manage GT site focal program to support overall GT program implementation and sustainment
  • Manage and review export authorizations for the organization and directly lead employees in this functional area.
  • Develop and implement a training plan to ensure employees in the business understand and comply with trade compliance regulations.
  • Lead the team in the development and execution of the GT communications plan.
  • Responsible for tracking and management of GT DT projects and supports critical GT tools: TEXPORT, SAP/GTS, JDE, SharePoint, and others.
  • Lead the team in the gathering, analysis, maintenance, and reporting information/metrics in support of Dashboard, Quarterly Operating Reviews, and other reporting requirements as needed.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by direct or indirect manager.
  • Estimated level of US and international travel: 5-10%

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR
  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Trade compliance knowledge and experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and change management skills are required.
  • Program and project management skills and experience are preferred.
