In this role, you have the opportunity to:

Support compliance programs requirements to ensure compliance with U.S. import and export regulations. You will be a part of a distributed team of trade compliance professionals strategically located throughout Mercury's organization in order to partner with all business functions in a manner that achieves the highest standards of regulatory compliance and the individual objectives of the business.


You are responsible for:

  • Preparation, submission, and tracking of ITAR and EAR export authorizations
  • Reviews international quotes, sales orders and shipments to ensure compliance procedures are followed
  • Interact with State and Commerce Departments to track license and agreement progress
  • Interact with Purchasing department and Customs Brokers on Import Administration and Compliance
  • Supports audit/assessment programs to ensure implementation and effectiveness of internal control
  • Maintains applicable trade compliance records in accordance with business and regulatory requirements
  • Provides support in the investigation and resolution of compliance findings, questions, or complaints
  • Provides import and export administration support to the assigned business unit
  • Assists in developing and implementing training across functional groups in the organization
  • Ensure export compliance process and procedures are being followed and maintained
  • Other tasks as assigned by department head

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:


  • A Bachelor's degree in a business or technical field
  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience, preferably in regulatory compliance or a technical field in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in Product and Technology Classification against US import and export regulations is highly desirable
  • Experience with OCR EASE Global Trade Management Software is highly desirable
  • Experience with Department of State and Department of Commerce License application and management is highly desirable
  • Experience with U.S. Customs clearance and import requirements is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in working independently with minimal supervision

The successful candidate will be capable of working remotely and interacting through electronic teleconferencing. Travel in this role is anticipated to not exceed 10% to support business requirements throughout the continental United States.
