As a Data Research Analyst you will be part of the Descartes Global Trade Intelligence (GTI) Screening Team. Descartes MK is a leader in sanctioned party screening solutions with a strong reputation built over 30 years in business.
We are a logistics and data driven compliance company, providing up to date Global Sanctions data is critical for our clients to remain complaint with US and International Trade laws. In this role you will be monitoring, analyzing, auditing, and performing critical updates to sanctions lists from across the globe.
- Monitor changes to websites for sanctions updates in a timely manner
- Updating databases via various systems
- Audit data during various steps to ensure 100% accuracy
- Keeping up with Global Sanctions and trade news, forecasting new regulations
- Critical Thinking: Data analysts must look at the data, research online resources and come to conclusions based on the findings.
- Attention to Detail: Data is precise. Data analysts must make sure they are vigilant in their analysis to come to correct conclusions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel: sort and filter, formula creation.
- Analytical Skills: Working with large amounts of data: facts, research. You will need to see through the data and analyze it to find conclusions.
- Highly Motivated analyst who possess intellectual curiosity, strong problem-solving skills and diverse backgrounds.
- Team oriented, with the ability to work independently
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Must work well under pressure to meet the demands of our customers
- Service oriented and solution driven
DESIRED TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS (experience from one or several of below)
- Experience within commercial application support and related CRM systems (Freshservice, Microsoft Planner)
- Experience working remotely
- Highly preferred skill, read and understand Chinese
The role is a work from home position. Coverage is for West Coast Hours.
