Job Description


Supervises and supports activities of brokerage personnel engaged in providing proper & timely customs clearance and customer service.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Operations

  • Monitor Systems Daily and Delegate Action Items
  • Manage Work Volumes and Prioritizations for the Team
  • Support on BPA Communication for Productivity Projects
  • Complete Dangerous Goods Audits
  • Support Customer Audits when Needed
  • Assist With Keying and Clearing Shipments as Needed
  • Consistently Review Team KPI Performance
  • Backup to Department Manager


Personnel

  • Answer Employee Questions as Needed
  • Support with Conducting Interviews
  • Guide Employee Development
  • Support Employee Performance Reviews
  • Support Employee Development Plan Creation
  • Backup to Department Manager


Finance

  • Monitor and Action Invoice Issues
  • Monitor and Action Payables
  • Monitor and Action Department AP
  • Manage Payables and Weekly Reconciliation
  • Ensure Team is Following Company Credit Policy


Sales

  • Backup for Quoting
  • Participate and Support in Customer Calls
  • Educate Customers on Additional Services and EI Systems


Customer Service and Retention

  • Support Reviews and Calls with Current Customers
  • Support Customer Escalation Needs
  • Oncall escalation
  • Backup to Department Manager


Data

  • Support Parts Lists Management Needs


Qualifications


Experience and Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain management OR Minimum 5 years experience in international logistics or international trade.


Additional Attributes Desired:

Possesses strong analytical, communication (verbal/written), customer service, organizational and time management skills

Forward-thinking and possesses ability to identify process improvements

Displays ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment

Has strong desire to learn and develop their skill set with a career-focused mindset

Prior brokerage experience

Brokerage License preferred
