The Worldwide Logistics Project Manager is part of WW Logistics Operations, based in either Cupertino, CA or Raleigh, NC; specifically on the WW Logistics Security team. The position will primarily support the SecureShip (“SS”) Program and report to the WW Logistics Security Manager. Workload assignment/management, oversight & supervisory-direction will also come from the WW SS Program Manager. This is a fast-moving, dynamic environment where flexibility and adaptability are key attributes needed for success. The selected candidate will possess excellent project and time-management skills, with an ability to organize and streamline critical tasks and objectives in support of SS shipments, metrics/reporting, Logistics IT/Systems, supplier performance and overall SS program management.

Key Qualifications

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Transportation, Supply Chain, Logistics, Logistics Security, and/or Logistics IT/Systems-related roles
  • Proven problem solving, tactical project execution, data analytics, process improvement
  • Project Management skillset a must
  • Prefer: Expertise in Logistics IT/Systems (development, troubleshooting and resolution); Knowledge of International Trade Compliance and Logistics Security practices

Description

The position involves tactical execution and management of Apple’s WW SecureShip Program, including related IT/Systems-based functional support. This program provides the highest Security assurances, global shipping method available: “Maximum” Handling Security, transporting highly-sensitive, pre-release product, components & materials across the globe. Primary responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: -Develop, maintain and enhance global business partnerships & collaboration with key internal & external stakeholders, to include: Apple Engineering, “Decision Support” & IT (Systems Development teams), Global Trade-Compliance, WW & Regional Logistics, NPI Ops, Readiness, Marketing, Finance, SS Supplier Mgmt and “Control Tower”, etc. -Support NPI Operational activity, together with WW NPI Ops Team, Readiness and Marketing to ensure timely-delivery of critical pre-NPI Marketing & Regulatory units -Flight plan determination, execution and milestone tracking; Issue-resolution, daily reporting (generation, communication, troubleshooting), etc. -Support Apple Freight Order System Tool (“AFS”); on-going maintenance and development (FY23 enhancements); Process streamlining & improvement; Handle AFS escalations, training and problem-resolution (together with appropriate IT team) -Project-lead other systems-based tool development and implementation (i.e. Project “MASS”); Reporting, automation, dashboards, metrics, escalations, resolution, etc. -Develop into 1st point-of-contact for SS day-to-day order support, issues, inquiries and questions from users; Provide “tactical” oversight of compliance & protocols -Coordinate SS process and instruction for new Users (Internal, OEMs, etc.); Provide initial instruction documents, systems access; Publish updates as required -Compile all necessary materials & content for Monthly Reports & Business Reviews Keynotes, metrics/KPIs, corrective actions, objectives, etc. -Manage consolidation & accuracy of SS Financial Mgmt systems & metrics -SS budget / spending summaries, PO-management, etc. -Conduct SS freight invoice audit & approval with appropriate teams. -Provide back-up / coverage for SS Program Manager when necessary.

Education & Experience

Degree in Business Studies; preferably Supply Chain Management/Logistics, Operations or related fields.
