Trade Compliance Lead (New Consumer Health Company)
Johnson & Johnson is currently recruiting a Trade Compliance Lead – Consumer (New Consumer Health Company). This position is located in Skillman, NJ.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Consumer Health business to create a new publicly traded company. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 24 months, and it will be subject to legal requirements including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as required, and other customary conditions and approvals.
It is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, this position may be conveyed with New Consumer Health. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to the successful candidate by New Consumer Health at an appropriate time and would be subject to any necessary consultation processes.
The Trade Compliance Project Lead develops strategies and capabilities to align with import and export regulations, prevent delays in our end-to-end supply chain, and improve data and technology automation.
The Trade Compliance Lead is responsible for the US Center of Excellence capabilities and enhancements to include leading strategies for customs self-assessment programs, post entry review process, and customs audits and inquiries.
Develop Trade Compliance processes to align with government agency's requirements for imports and exports.
Collaborate with business partners across geographic regions to implement preferential trade agreements, foreign trade zones, and duty drawback programs.
Use global risk assessment tools to identify compliance improvement opportunities.
Lead resolution of Trade Compliance critical issues and develop remediation action plans.
Implement internal controls and metrics to ensure processes and procedures meet prescribed goals and objectives.
Direct responses for audits, inquiries, and internal audit reviews.
Assess trade regulations updates and lead organizational change assessments.
The Trade Compliance Lead is responsible for the US Center of Excellence capabilities and enhancements to include leading strategies for customs self-assessment programs, post-entry review process, and customs audits and inquiries.
Will be responsible for creating and delivering Trade Compliance Training.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent University degree is required.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in International Logistics, Trade Compliance, or other related compliance function is required
- Comprehensive knowledge of US trade laws, harmonized tariff classification, country of origin determination, customs valuation, duty preference programs, and import and export documentation are required.
- Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, decision-making, and root cause analysis skills are required.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication skills and ability to connect with and influence across a cross-functional, global structure
- Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with writing standard operating procedures.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office
- Experience with SAP
