QAD is seeking an experienced Sales Executive who is passionate about knowing their customers' world better than their customers know it themselves. We are encouraging you to teach, tailor and control, to push the customer’s thinking and teach them something new.

You’ll be responsible for meeting or exceeding your sales quotas as defined and stay abreast of the latest sales developments and contribute to the functional strategy by applying them within the organization. Your focus will be on developing net new business and helping us grow our subscription business. You will be responsible for managing the pipeline and the closure of business against targets.

You will work with Sales Management and Marketing to define and achieve strategic goals. This will involve working with Business Development Representatives and Field Marketing to build campaigns, tailoring business assets and tools to the needs of the market segment.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist in the development and execution of strategies to achieve sales in identified industries/markets over a range of new and established multinational or local accounts.
  • Meet and beat sales targets by focused coverage and the operational application of the key regional initiatives.
  • Take full responsibility for the forecast and consistently beat it.
  • Develop and implement successful new sales and account plans and take responsibility for their communication and implementation.
  • Liaise with the relevant functional and regional parties to achieve the objectives of the plan.
  • Prepare quotations, RFP’s and sales proposals using standard pricing and observing QAD Precision’s processes and methodologies.
  • Coordinate and oversee demonstrations and presentations of QAD's products and services where appropriate.
  • Negotiate price within the parameters of QAD’s sales/marketing policy.
  • Ensure that prospects/customers are satisfied with QAD's products and services.
  • Ensure that regular contact is maintained with prospects/customers. Respond to prospect/customer complaints.
  • Manage your funnel against the standard QAD policies and practices in a timely and professional manner. This includes recording all activities and actions in QAD’s CRM system.
  • Attend trade shows or conventions as required. Develop effective business and commercial contacts within targeted industries.
  • Monitor competitors positioning, services and promotional activities.
  • Liaise with Services and Sales Consultants as appropriate regarding the feasibility of technical elements of proposals to ensure effective and profitable installations.


  • A self-motivated overachiever attitude that enjoys developing and closing opportunities by leveraging relationships and questioning the status quo.
  • Minimum 5+ years Sales experience. Previous experience of selling Logistics, TMS, Supply chain,
  • Transportation, or GTM (global trade management) would be an advantage however experience of selling software is essential.
  • Logistics and Transportation Software
  • FTZ, Imports, Hi-Tech or manufacturing vertical market experience would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience selling SAAS technologies to a manufacturing and/or supply chain clientele is highly preferred
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in the Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Trade Logistics, Transportation, and e-Commerce industries with exposure to key industries such as Automotive, High Tech, Industrial, Life Sciences, Logistics Providers, and Consumer Products (among others).
  • Deep understanding of marketing and customer acquisition processes
  • Stellar written and verbal communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate clear, persuasive proposals, emails and presentations.
