Position Purpose

Under minimal supervision, the Associate Trade Marketing Manager - International works in collaboration with the Trade and Shopper, Marketing, Brand, Public Relations (PR), Digital Marketing and Marketing Services teams as well as cross functionally with the National & International Sales Teams, to proactively assist in managing and developing plans and shopper marketing tactics, inclusive of digital and social media tactics to generate demand in order to achieve annual performance plan. The Associate Trade Marketing Manager - International solely supports the International Team and works across channels and the portfolio to assist with Trade and Shopper Marketing strategic planning in streamlining systems, processes, and communications for the overall Trade and Shopper Marketing Team. This role coordinates between National and International Sales, Trade and Shopper Marketing, Brand, PR, Digital Marketing and Marketing Services Teams within Delicato and maintain a two-way collaborative dialogue that emphasizes teamwork and getting results. This position is based in Napa but is open to a hybrid model.

Essential Duties

  • Owns and manages cross-functional collaborations with Brand, Marketing Services, PR, Digital and Creative Services Teams to develop high-level International Brand programs
  • Responsible for program design, set-up and procurement for various Trade and Shopper Marketing programs and tactics
  • Responsible for agenda setting and facilitation for the monthly Sales, Trade and Customer Marketing sales calls; following up on reporting and manages agency to ensure distribution lists are current, ensures timely publication of agenda to key stakeholders, and manages agency to ensure KPI’s are being achieved
  • Manages localization of US National Brand plans to develop and International Brand Programs in conjunction with International Sales Team Leads
  • Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of key customers programs within top international partners
  • Utilizes National Brand Presentations as briefs for each Core and Emerging Brand that requires International customizations
  • Responsible for the maintenance and reporting of Trade Marketing Cognito project portal
  • Monitors and tracks adherence to spend within project budgets as set by international sales team, Brand, Customer Marketing and/or Trade budgets
  • Provides prompt follow up on incoming requests to foster a cohesive, professional and collaborative relationship with Brand, Digital, PR, Trade and Shopper Marketing, Marketing Services and National, and International teams
  • Engages and manages outside Marketing Agency to assist in creating winning Trade and Shopper Marketing programs and tactics
  • International Trade Marketing representative throughout Annual Brand Planning cycle
  • Collaborates with Consumer Shopper Insights team to incorporate key fact-based insights in decks and communication pieces, to deliver against account and brand objectives
  • Leads and engages in cross-functional plan review sessions inclusive of key sales stakeholders
  • Manages process and ensures compilation and updating of Trade and Customer Marketing Program Deck, Customer Development EMERGE inventory and budget report, quarterly consumer offer catalog and various Trade and Shopper Marketing process decks
  • Assists with Trade and Shopper Marketing Annual Strategic Planning process, tools and Channel plans
  • In conjunction with Trade Marketing Director, assists with planning content for Distributor Joint Business planning presentations, as well as, the Delicato Sales On-Boarding, Global and Division Sales meetings
  • Participates in seasonal Channel surveys

Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or related degree
  • M.B.A. a plus
  • 3+ years experience in marketing and/or sales

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must possess excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Strong budget management, project management, analysis and reporting skills
  • Intermediate to advanced skillset with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong communicator and negotiator
  • Ability to work independently and build relationships
  • Experience in E-Commerce and digital shopper platforms
  • Experience utilizing data from Nielsen and other sources
  • Must possess working knowledge of wine and the wine industry

Office environment with limited travel
