We are looking for a Global Leader of Global Trade Compliance to help accelerate our growth journey.

What you will do:

Brooks is seeking a Global Leader of Global Trade Compliance to join our team. You will lead the Brooks global trade compliance team, partnering with Business Unit Leaders, the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Counsel of International Trade & Compliance, General Counsel, and other key stakeholders to oversee the Company’s compliance program.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Management of Brooks global trade compliance program, policies, and procedures, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Ensure trade compliance processes are aligned with best practices and support business objectives. Identify process gaps and lead corrective action where necessary.
  • Proactively monitor regulatory changes, perform risk assessments, and direct business process changes to adhere.
  • Lead Brooks in training on U.S. import, export, and sanctions compliance and global trade compliance.
  • Be the point of contact for government inquiries, audits, and reporting for areas related to trade.
  • Integrate acquired companies into the Brooks trade compliance framework.
  • Engage with business and functional leaders to perform continuous risk assessment for compliance and process improvement.
  • Ensure systems and data are maintained with necessary and valid data to manage trade compliance and government reporting.
  • Prepare, review, and submit license applications, government reports, and notifications as necessary for trade law requirements.
  • Manage export jurisdiction and classification information (i.e., ECCN numbers).
  • Manage the Company’s end use and end use certification and restricted party screening protocols.Manage the Company’s Duty drawback programs.
  • Partner closely with the Senior Counsel of International Trade & Compliance, General Counsel, and Chief Financial Officer.

What you will bring:

  • Strong understanding of global trade compliance
  • Deep experience and comprehensive knowledge of U.S. export control and sanctions regulations, including EAR, OFAC, and ITAR.
  • Exceptional subject matter expertise, a high degree of adaptability and the ability to anticipate changes and priorities.
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and training on global trade compliance policies and procedures.
  • Experience in driving systems and data integrity to enable efficiency and scale.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Semiconductor industry experience preferred, but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree, 10+ years of experience, at the manager level or above.
