Job Description

The Trade and Working Capital Client Service Group is responsible for managing and facilitating the daily unique and complex service needs of Global Trade Operations client base. Service is delivered in a team-based model with key locations in the US, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.


The ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge of Commercial and Standby Letters of credit. This is a high visibility role & the candidate will be required to act as a trusted advisor/consultant assisting new clients & internal stake holders with the overall service delivery. The candidate will use communication and relationship management skills to ensure an exceptional level of client satisfaction.


Responsibilities


  • Manage dedicated Standby Letter of Credit client portfolio having frequent interactions with internal/external clients, working with various areas of the bank for client resolution, and monitoring cases in Service Queues.
  • Negotiate new or existing transactions with clients, external legal advisors, banking and credit teams supporting Standby LC transactions
  • Partner closely with Trade Sales in origination efforts for trade win opportunities
  • Lead and own the resolution of all client transactions/inquiries through interaction with clients, bankers, product partners, branch operations and other staff in a timely and professional manner with a high degree of urgency.
  • Maintain SLA's and enhance daily metrics queue to ensure client satisfaction on every transaction.
  • Collaborate with operations and Line of Business to manage client transaction lifecycle.
  • Client advocate and responsible for the client experience globally through proactive handling of service and account management needs
  • Serve as a liaison between the sales team, branch management, compliance and various other business units throughout the firm.
  • Exhibit the skill set necessary to act with an extreme sense of urgency, exhibit outstanding communication and partnership skills, and escalate issues promptly
  • Actively manage client expectations and communicate clearly with all levels within the client as needed
  • Take end-to-end ownership to ensure positive trade experience for clients and bankers
  • Develop and execute client strategies in close coordination with Bankers, product specialist
  • Identify potential issues and process inefficiencies and escalate accordingly within the Risk and Control framework;
  • Identify challenges and develop solutions
  • Provide input into product development, marketing, and other strategic initiatives


Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of Global Trade experience with understanding of Standby LC product.
  • Strong focus on client satisfaction and the building of excellent relationships with our customers
  • Excellent communication skills with strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities
  • Comfortable working within tight deadlines
  • Strong focus on producing a quality product with attention to detail and timely delivery
  • Strategic thinking and demonstrated analytical skills
  • Experience working with credit and an understanding of the credit process.
  • Independent, self-motivated, high energy, able to succeed in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to present comfortably; ability to convincingly present complex material effectively to large and small audiences
  • Proven ability to establish, develop, and manage relationships with senior executives. Ability to understand and manage the business and personal factors that influence decision making

  • Capable of working with minimal supervision
