Position Description:

This position will be responsible for the overall inbound logistics operations and analysis, and will work directly with carriers to move freight in the most economic and efficient way possible. The role will include the processing and development of key reports, and the tracking of data that will drive compliant financial protocols.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal supply chain partners on purchasing levels that tie to production estimates and shipment timelines. Utilize data to highlight early impacts to the successful flow of product.
  • Perform continuous improvement of processes and documentation relating to purchasing/logistics procedures and controls.
  • Responsible for forecasting, tracking, and analyzing all inbound shipments - will work directly with carriers and 3PL providers thru a system of tools. Concise reporting will be a primary communication method amongst several teams within the supply chain organization.
  • Partner with all warehouse teams to improve workflow efficiency and improve material handling
  • Assist in monitoring inbound capacity concerns
  • Facilitate dwell times goals, report KPI
  • Must be able to communicate other impactful scenarios that affect overall efficiencies and costs negatively.
  • Serve as the point of contact for all inbound freight issues - including origin capacity, DC delivery issues, MWH forecasting and accuracy, etc.
  • Review and evaluate vendor invoices for accuracy and completeness thru our partners for freight pay and audit. Also, will be tasked with monitoring terms and aging thru AP reporting methods.
  • Assist in developing strategic business initiatives as ATDNTD leverages volumes to drive competitive advantage.
  • Will engage with overseas teams and suppliers on booking process, volumes, and KPI’s
  • Accountable to uphold carrier arrangements as negotiated during annual RFP’s

Key Partners (Positions):


  • MWH General Manager and Logistics coordinators in all
  • Key Contacts: All Logistics Service Providers (LSP’s) and their foreign or domestic personnel, Hercules China based teams, Overseas suppliers contacts, Warehouse Managers or Supervisors, Drivers, Customer Service Representatives and Administrative Staff.
  • Needs to be able to partner with all positions across the Company, including but not limited to Transportation, Operations, Procurement, Finance, HR, IT, Safety, etc.


Experience(s) that Best Prepares You:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
  • Possess knowledge of logistics terminology
  • Must possess the ability to understand the nuances of global trade activities
  • Proven ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel and management
  • Superior quantitative analytics, problem solving and troubleshooting skills; Advanced Excel skills involving data manipulation.
  • Solid organization and time/project management skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.

  • Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Travel required: Occasional travel as required throughout training. Occasional travel to the Field Support Center and other destinations will occur.
