Job Description:

This position is responsible for the establishing, maintaining, and enforcing KAVX Trade Compliance policies, methods, and systems to provide compliance with all Federal Laws as well as recognized International Standards. Manages Import, Export, and Supply Chain Programs.

Reports To:
Sr. Manager, Global ComplianceDuties and Responsibilities:
  • Global enforcement of KAVX trade compliance policies, methods, and systems.
  • Establish policy and procedures on a global level to meet changing needs.
  • Lead company-wide assessments to monitor compliance with established Export Control & Sanctions standards and procedures.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of governing supply chain regulations and laws.
  • Update KAVX policy and procedures as required by new and changing laws and regulations.
  • Serve and execute the required duties of the company’s ITAR Empowered Official.
  • Provide guidance on Trade Compliance subject matter for new products, product line moves, acquisitions and best practice product routing.
  • Manage export control and sanctions incidents.
  • Prepare and submit export/import license applications, agreements, eligible exemptions/exceptions, and other requests for USG approval.
  • Reviews contracts to ensure compliance to trade topics (FARS/DFARS).
  • Provide training to involved parties to ensure global adherence to Trade Compliance requirements.
  • Manages yearly Customs Reconciliation process.
  • Ensure C-TPAT or equivalent program (Imports) remains in good standing.
  • Manage customer and transaction screening programs; review and resolve any screening escalations or red flags.
  • Direct manager of KAVX Compliance Trade Specialists and Customs Brokers.
  • Projects as assigned.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree (Business or related field) is required
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in supply chain management compliance, preferably in a global manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience as an Empowered Official.
  • Certified U.S. Export Compliance Officer (CUSECO)
  • Export Compliance Professional Certification (ECoP)
  • Experience in Import/Export Laws and Regulations.
  • Prior experience in working with governmental agencies to obtain manufacturing and export licenses.
  • Experience with legal contracts. Paralegal experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information efficiently and to translate regulatory requirements to operational processes.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Self-starter, good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adaptable and flexible; ability to excel in a lean, fast-paced and dynamic environment
