This position is responsible for processing U.S. export and import transactions in accordance with the U.S. Department of Commerce Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), the CFR Title 19, and the Fives Group compliance and logistics directives.

Scope and Responsibilities:

• Classify commodities, technology, and software in accordance with the EAR Commodity Control List (CCL), and the ITAR Munitions List.
• Classify commodities and software in accordance with the USITC Harmonized Tariff Schedule.

The logistics responsibilities will include:

• Arranging shipments per the terms of the clients’ or suppliers’ contracts, schedules, and the appropriate Incoterm.
• Direct contact with clients and suppliers.
• Managing freight service providers throughout the transactions, including rate/booking requests, and processing the services payments within the internal accounts payable system.
• Preparing all required customs and transport documents, including letter of credit bank negotiations per UCP rules.
• Submitting the Automated Export System Electronic Export Information (AES EEI) filings to U.S. Customs and Border Protection via CBP ACE.
• Reviewing dangerous goods before arranging transport in accordance with DOT, IATA, and IMDG regulations.
• Coordinating ocean marine cargo insurance claims.
• Maintaining internal records in accordance with all U.S. regulations.

Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Education and Experiences

Associate Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of EAR and ITAR.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft EXCEL and WORD.
• Intermediate knowledge of SAP Business System
