The Sr. Logistics Analyst is responsible for the timely preparation, assembly, and shipment of orders.


  • Retrieve product for shipment from multiple material storage locations.
  • Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of outgoing product to verify information against Picking Ticket or other records.
  • Assembles containers in accordance with shipper/customer specifications to ensure safe delivery of product to customer’s location. Coordinate shipping logistics with internal customers and customer freight forwarders.
  • Affixes shipping information to packaged container for identification by carrier and or customer.
  • Utilize material handling devices for retrieval and movement of product, i.e. forklift, powerized pallet jack, etc.
  • Manage the Available to Ship Report and provide printed pick slips to team.
  • Manage a range of shipments from full container loads to small parcels with the goal of balancing costs, timeliness, and purchasing’s expectations.
  • Maintain relationships with international suppliers and shipping carriers.
  • Manage end-to-end international and domestic shipping processes. Traces shipments and re-routes freight accordingly
  • Document and file claims with carriers.
  • Accounting and recordkeeping for exports and DG shipment per regulation.
  • Prepares documents required for import and/or export of customer shipments. Process shipping information utilizing shippers software.
  • Follow industry standards, regulations and procedures as they relate to processing and shipping dangerous goods (DG).
  • Prepares important documents for customs (i.e. bonds, bills, classify / release and reports, Shippers Declarations).
  • Produces relative documentation to secure the release of import consolidations from carriers; handles all turnover documents to other brokers, as well as internal transfer and in-bond movements.
  • Completes export arrangements for customers, including bookings, container arrangements, insurance, banking, and transportation companies (ocean and trucking).
  • Prepares import and/or export documents including bills of lading, dock receipts, licenses, and consulate documents and distributes documents to all appropriate parties.
  • All other duties as assigned.


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using measurements in weight, volume, and quantity
  • Maintain professional conduct in dealing with customers and vendors
  • Ability to use common sense to carry out written and verbal instructions
  • Proficient with email, shipping software, and business software.
  • Knowledge of USA/Canada import/export customs, clearance systems, and processes
  • Creative problem solving and solution-focused
  • Microsoft Excel and data analytics experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working individually and collaboratively


  • High school education or equivalent, or up to six-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient with UPS WorldShip or similar and can scheduled freight pickups using carrier’s software.
  • Proficient in JDE or similar.
  • Minimum of High School Graduate or GED
  • Two years of experience in export and import logistics
  • Knowledge with ERP systems, JDE preferred
  • Previous Dangerous Goods experience and/or certification
  • Freight forwarding experience a plus
