Inventory and Logistics Supervisor
PST is currently seeking an Inventory and Logistics Supervisor. This position will be based out of the PST facility located in Orangeburg, NY. This position requires a flexible schedule to support production needs. The Inventory and Logistics Supervisor reports into Operations and will have direct responsibility for leading the daily warehouse operations and staff to ensure business objectives are met in a safe and efficient manner.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement efficient inventory management procedures and design/execute process improvement projects to improve our warehouse operations, quality metrics, and the employee experience
- Timely receipt of all raw materials, subcontractor services and purchased products
- Manage the collection of all production manufacturing scrap and returned materials for reclaim, receipt of RMR and RMA shipments, and obtain quotes for new or irregular supplies
- Timely and accurate posting of cycle count results and inventory transactions. Analysis, reconciliation and reporting of discrepancies
- Monitor and report on transportation and warehousing KPI's and facilitate productive communication with Customer Service, Production Control and Manufacturing to achieve KPI’s
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legislated regulations. Be the site contact with the Global Procurement Trade Compliance Dept
- Perform freight cost analysis and make recommendations / implement improvements (optimization of carriers, consolidation, packaging methods, etc.)
- Provide leadership and direction for day-to-day operations of the department employees to meet demand and develop all employees by ensuring cross-training and qualification of all standard work and demonstrated understanding
Qualifications
- Minimum of (3) years combined experience in supply chain, logistics, inventory control, or warehouse management
- Prior experience leading and managing logistics staff
- Proficient in standard logistics software (Oracle or similar software)
- Flexible schedule to support production needs
- Bachelor's degree preferred
