Opportunity
The Trade Compliance Analyst impacts the organization with continued maintenance of
a departmental infrastructure designed to ensure compliance with the laws that govern
international trade, all while providing overall support to the Trade Compliance Department.
Reporting to the Trade Compliance Manager, the successful candidate will follow internal
Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to government requirements to ensure overall
Compliance.
Responsibilities
- Promote Safety as the Number 1 priority of all OMG employees.
- Assist with projects, initiatives, and communications to resolve any compliance issues.
- Assist with compliance strategies, document processes, maintaining records.
- Monitor compliance changes and developments for internal process adjustments.
- Respond to requests for USMCA, Certificates of Origin, Buy America, Buy American, REACH, ROHS, and Prop 65 documentation.
- Report any internal liability to the Trade Compliance Manager for corrective action.
- Support the department with HTS code assignment; manage HTS database.
- Manage ACE reports, perform ISF and AES audits, manage custom broker KPI’s.
- Retain and manage import and export documentation, per regulations.
- Perform denied party screening and screening platform data management.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree required.
- 3+ years of experience in Trade Compliance. (Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.)
- Extensive knowledge of industry regulations and governing laws of compliance.
- Brokerage operations knowledge, basic understanding of proper processes, procedures and use of technology within brokerage operations. Experience with ACE preferred.
- A basic understanding of import and export procedures, regulations, documentation requirements and process flows; CFR19, EAR, FTR, USMCA, FTA’s, REACH, ROHS, PROP65.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including the ability to use hard data and metrics to support assumptions and drive effectiveness.
- Ability to communicate clearly.
- Positive attitude, good judgement, and excellent time management skills.
- Exceptional PC skills using MS Office Suite, inclusive of Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Word.
