Job Overview:

The International Logistics Analyst is a member of the team responsible for global logistics including international transportation, warehousing, distribution and trade compliance.

As a member of the team you will be responsible for the coordination, facilitation and tracking of all international import and export moves. Creating and analyzing routine and ad-hoc reporting relating to shipping and spend related to international moves. Assisting with new IT implementation, EDI, process improvements and new initiatives related to the international transportation business.

What you will do:

  • Coordinating, tracking and managing international shipments from origin to final destination, working with customer care and planning teams, contract manufacturers, freight forwarders, receiving sites and direct carriers.
  • Support development and execution of RFPs related to ocean freight
  • Assist in development of SOPs and KPIs for international transportation
  • Participate in quarterly business reviews of partners’ performance
  • Participate in the development of a stronger internal reporting framework and financial/supply chain analysis
  • Perform functional testing and supports maintenance and upgrades on information system tools and technology
  • Ensure compliance with documented SOPs
  • Collaborate with providers on process improvement
  • Researching and supplying quotes for transportation by air, rail, truck or ocean freight to internal requestors within a variety of functions, and pertaining to a wide range of SKU’s and materials
  • Development, revision, improvement and documentation of international transportation processes and functions, and maintenance of associated SOP’s and process documentation
  • Education of internal stakeholders on incoterms, international shipping best practices and restrictions
  • Advising and assisting R&D, Engineering, and Purchasing on any/all questions/projects as they arise pertaining to transport of material overseas
  • Responsible for the auditing and approval of payables and invoices to all transportation vendors including freight forwarders, direct carriers, 3rd party documentation providers and consultants
  • Providing forecasting and guidance to international carriers on shipping volumes for usage in securing cargo space as well as for pricing negotiation at time of annual RFP’s and spot market rate quotations
  • Process freight claims related to international shipments


  • Bachelor’s degree International Business, International Logistics, or related studies required
  • 3-5 years of experience with sea freight logistics required
  • Familiarity with incoterms required
  • Project Management experience preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel (pivot tables and VLOOKUP) required
  • Experience working with SAP or other ERP systems required
  • Ability to work independently and within teams
