Full Job Description

Role Objective

The team's main objective is to provide Equipment Buy Support, Logistics & Liaison support with shipping partners and also provide Tech Support for Google Street View operations. They manage the equipment used in this image collection and to keep this equipment running in the field, retrieve it, service it and manage equipment inventories at hardware depots. A logistics analyst is responsible for overseeing the life cycle of a product, including shipment, order updates, packaging & labeling , and legal clearances.

Hourly Rate and Other Compensation :

The hourly rate for this position is between $37.50 -$43.27 per hour, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.

Role & Responsibilities

Plan and implement inventory movement optimization (e.g. warehouse-slotting, route planning)

Oversee inventory procedures

Manage shipment requests for domestic and international orders and provide status updates to relevant stakeholders through delivery

Work with trade compliance team and 3PL to make sure that all international shipments comply with export/import regulations

Facilitate the packaging and labeling of dangerous goods for air shipment

Assist with equipment forecasting, local inventory management, and distribution

Helpdesk support via ticketing system (similar to Zendesk)

Experience / Skills

2-3 years experience in logistics industry, inventory or warehouse management

Proficiency in computer databases, statistic applications and logistics programs

High school graduate or equivalent

Technological savviness

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to operate and communicate effectively with people at all levels of the business.

Comfortable with a rapidly-changing environment

Strong problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail

Able to work independently, motivated, proactive attitude with a passion for learning and creative problem solving
