Job Summary:

RTX has an outstanding career opportunity to support the RMD Global Trade function. This organization plays a critical role in the successful execution of International Business and allows programs to remain compliant with the US Government in all of our global business transactions. This position is for an experienced Sr. Manager of Global Trade in Business Excellence and will report to the Global Trade Director. They will be responsible for leading a team of Global Trade professionals in ensuring policies, procedures, CORE and best practices with regard to export control laws, regulations and guidelines are implemented and followed, effectively and consistently, throughout the business.

This requires the successful candidate to partner extensively with all RMD business partners, functions and Global Trade professionals in order to effectively drive and support existing and/or new GT governance programs.

The successful candidate will work well in a high-energy, fast-paced environment, developing relationships with internal customers and collaborating with multiple business functions as a trusted business partner in providing export/import guidance while ensuring compliance with US Export/Import Regulations and Company policies.


Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Providing consistent interpretation of ITAR, EAR, Customs, OFAC, ATF and Foreign Trade Statistical Regulations to Business Unit employees
  • Subject Matter Expert in Export/Import Regulations
  • Provide Global Trade guidance on process, policy, regulations and/or other Global Trade compliance matters to GT Team and/or to the other business stakeholders
  • Work with teams to find compliant and innovative solutions in complex business matters to ensure business success
  • Work closely with Investigations and the Controls Monitoring teams to support the review and adjudication of findings and subsequent development and completion of corrective actions.
  • Key Performance Indicator innovator and monitor (such as metrics related to velocity and efficiencies, etc.)
  • Policy & work instruction focal, develop and maintain RMD GT policies, enablers, and work instructions.
  • Develops and/or implements new processes (i.e., tool enhancements, etc.) and/or new processes due to regulatory changes, corporate initiatives/directives, Corrective Actions as a result of monitoring, etc.
  • Oversee RMD GT CORE projects, initiatives and goals
  • Ensures roll out of Global Trade initiatives and/or matters to the functions
  • Potential roles on Corporate Steering Committees/Task Teams to engage in developing and/or influence policy/process changes that may impact the Business
  • Engage in Corporate GT projects
  • Engage directly with the regulator as may be required

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years of related experience OR Master’s Degree with8+ years or equivalent work experience.
  • Empowered Official and/or an ability to obtain Raytheon Empowered Official designation within 1 year of accepting position
  • Experience with AECA, ITAR, and EAR. Familiarity and working understanding of ATF regulations of firearms, destructive devices, and explosives.
  • Global Trade licensing experience
  • Experience making improvements to processes and/or systems to enhance performance of job area.
  • Experience in Global Trade, international business, contracts, supply chain, engineering or other, relevant discipline
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.
