The Global Import/Export Compliance position is a key role for an experienced manager. Strong organizational skills, ability to balance immediate/ long term priorities and strong multitasking skills are a necessity. Key objectives will be supporting import and export orders for compliance, material classifications, order blocks, including Denied Parties List, BIS and OFAC license applications. In addition to Global responsibilities, this position will also support the EMEA region. This position requires a strong customer focused mindset and an ability to work across functional boundaries while driving change. The responsibilities for this role are:

  • Export Compliance
  • Import Compliance
  • Material Classification - assist in determining HTS/HTC and assigning ECCN (Globally)
  • BIS/OFAC License application and management
  • Work with Legal on Embargoed country issues for Import / Export Compliance
  • Ability to determine product eligibility for Free Trade Agreements
  • Works with Legal to provide oversight and guidance regarding Anti-boycott compliance and reporting
  • Resolve SAP Delivery Blocks - Compliance workflow issues
  • Support new product launches
  • Ensure internal teams and externals logistic provider teams conform with external/internal compliance rules and good practices
  • Run regular audits, ensure people are trained and provide appropriate training as needed
  • Be the main contact for internal and external annual mandatory audits. Prepare audits in coordination with the external logistics providers and the auditors.


  • Knowledge of supply chain processes required
  • Knowledge of Compliance policies (import, export) EU and US, OFAC/BIS countries, non-EU countries, and how to research regulations
  • Knowledgeable of SAP
  • Proven ability to work and influence outcomes in a matrix environment
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated ability to work with business partners understanding cultural, business and economic differences of the various countries
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Effective communicator in both oral and written presentations
  • Lean/Six Sigma orientation
  • Strong results orientation and execution



  • BS degree in Supply Chain & Logistics or International Business preferred


  • 5-10+ years of experience Import/Export Specialist
  • US Licensed Customs Broker - desired


  • Up to 10% domestic and international travel
