Supervisor - Air Export

Responsibilities:
- Provide departmental support and supervise the staff in the Air Export department including Summer Cherry Project, Winter Alaska Project & Annual Japan Self Defense Force Project.
- Supervises and directs Air Export staff in performing work according to operating procedures
- Monitor performance of staff and scheduling
- Trains Air Export staff
- Ensure department is in compliance with company policies and procedures and applicable government regulation
- Review workflows and procedures and provide feedback to maintain a high quality of service
- Support and obtain monthly revenue target
- Check for pre-alerts and make necessary corrections
- On board and arrival confirmation of shipments.
- Trace and tracking shipments for airline, trucker or other station.
- Arrange delivery.
- Check Inventory for shipping materials.
- Provide customer service and care to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Document and report any irregularities in timely manner.
- Arrange warehouse workflow at company and subcontractor's warehouse.
- Issue billing invoice within 3 days after delivery.
- Process payment to subcontractor, vendor and etc.
- Cost negotiation and renewal with airlines, vendor and etc.
- Overseas communication for Air and Ocean Export related matters.
- Prepare quotation (estimate survey, collecting and calculation costs, issuing estimation letter) in timely manner.
- Follow up with A/R in timely manner
- Work professionally and effectively with operations staff in order to achieve target goals.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with management, peers and co-workers.
- Handle other job assignments as determined by the direct Assistant Manager or Manager
- Annual Pay Range $60,000 - $75,000
Qualifications:
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal and organization skills
- Positive attitude, and the ability to multi-task and calmly handle quickly changing priorities under tight deadlines
- Great attention to details
- Minimum 3+ years of Air Export experience with previous experience in a Team Lead or Supervisory position
- Must be flexible with work schedule.
- Must be able to travel as needed
- Valid Driver's license
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Great computer skills (Microsoft Word & Excel, Outlook)
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate or significant or relevant or appropriate working experience
Organization Relationships:
This position will interact with branch colleagues, leadership staff, and office /warehouse personnel. Must be able to work with customers, vendors, and outside organizations. This position will report direclty to the General Manager of the Branch.
Work Environment:
(With or without accommodations) This position is predominantly sedentary office work which involves sitting, typing, filing, and conversing on the phone. Occasionally will travel by vehicle between worksites.
