Manager - International Customer Service & Compliance

Position Overview:

Johnsonville, LLC, has an opportunity for an outstanding individual to join us as Manager, International Customer Service & Compliance. The International Business Unit is high growth, delivering $400M in sales in 40 countries around the globe.

Role accountabilities are service and compliance execution for all US-based exports/logistics, partnering in developing a delivery cost budget, developing solutions that enable import/export activity across multiple regions, driving compliance, partnering with country teams on problem resolution, and collaborating on system and process solutions that support an aggressive innovation portfolio. This role will be a part of the Supply Chain Leadership Team and have a ‘dotted line’ reporting structure to the IBU.

  • Lead, Coach, and Teach Innovation (New to JVL) to the International Supply Chain Team
  • Importing products into the US
  • Exporting non-JVL products to other markets
  • Coach Customer Service Team’s day-to-day activities
  • Support Country Managers and Distributors
  • Issue and impact early identification
  • Support delivery of monthly financial and performance metrics
  • Compliance & ‘3rd Party Screening’ Leadership
  • Drive Compliance for the Organization
  • Partner on system progression & tactical implementation
  • Project Management, Process Optimization, & System Capability Support
  • Support the management/execution of an aggressive project scope
  • Drive process improvement to improve ratio of tactical tasks to ‘value add activity’
  • Leveraging system functionality to amplify vs. limit innovation and ‘speed to market’
  • Develop a high performing team by promoting and instilling a culture of personal learning, professional development, and the Johnsonville Way
  • Occasional travel required to develop partnerships, progress process, and partner in problem solving


  • Bachelor’s Degree, required


  • At least 7 years of Supply Chain experience, preferred
  • Experience in international, export/import compliance, and project management strongly desired
  • Experience in Southeast Asia a plus


  • Excellent system capability, with a strong preference for SAP experience
  • Technical aptitude to lead/support/collaborate across Compliance, Regulatory, and FSQ (Food, Safety, Quality) content and issues
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills that translate to superlative business results
  • Communication and presentation skills, with the ability to create trust, alignment, and support
  • Ability to lead and execute project / initiatives scope

(Our office is about an hour north of Milwaukee and an hour south of Green Bay)

Travel: Willingness and ability to travel internationally on a regular basis; up to 15%
