SUMMARY:
The Regulatory Compliance Manager, Export has direct oversight for the export compliance program. This role is accountable for import/export processes in order to maintain regulatory compliance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Champion export compliance, furthering our culture of risk aversion and handling awareness
- Operate as main point of contact for Export related questions
- Deploy regular communication to ensure internal and regulatory compliance
- Conduct general awareness training and Denied Party Screening training
- Seek out and mitigate any vulnerabilities within the process
- Review compliance program in the spirit of continuous process improvement
- Analyze Denied Party Screening results and provides guidance to screeners
- Review daily Embargoed Destination Report and action accordingly
- Submit customer violations for embargoed or interruption of services
- Prepare KPI’s and miscellaneous reports
- Maintain the Export Compliance online site and content documents
- Develop and maintain SOPs
- Visit regulatory online sites daily for changes potentially impacting our business and updates management
- Conduct the annual DC compliance audits and manage action plans
- Submit the Export Compliance Self-Assessment Audit Report to Management
- Monitor the compliance of DC maintenance audits
- Support both DPDHL and external compliance audits
- Flex to support other regulatory agency work as needed
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned
REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:
- Knowledgeable of dual usage goods and red flagged shipments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well within a team
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent organizational and presentation abilities
- Attentive to detail and accurate in the execution of tasks
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 5 years of related work experience
- 7 years of experience in USA export regulators such as Export Administration Regulations (EAR), OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) and ITAR (International Trafficking in Arms Regulations) required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Power Point
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Physical demands are consistent with a professional office setting.
- Regular sitting at work station for 75 – 100% of the work shift
- Travel required (<10%)
