Global Logistics & Trade Compliance Specialist - Remote

Responsible for supporting the management of logistics, acting as a key point of contact with suppliers, internal customers, freight forwarders and carriers to arrange and expedite domestic and international deliveries.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Responsible for preparation of shipping documents for domestic and international shipments.
- Responsible for providing timely responses to inquiries from internal clients, suppliers, and forwarders.
- Responsible for maintaining Logistics mailbox (emails tagged and filed).
- Responsible for updating logistics templates, as well as creating new ones.
- Partner with Senior Manager for alignment on priority statuses maintaining a sense of urgency. Promptly escalate any issues to Management to address accordingly.
- Monitor business partners and processes to ensure compliance with internal protocols and SOPs.
- Responsible for issuing transportation and warehousing RFQs, including quote evaluations and cost/benefit analysis.
- Assistance in monitoring forwarders’ KPIs.
- Provide regular cost information to Senior Manager to ensure budget management and explore paths to increased savings.
- Participate in trainings and certifications with the objective to become a subject matter expert on all aspects of trade compliance, tariff interpretation and classification, valuation, clearance, and brokerage, import and export compliance, and preferential trade programs.
- Responsible for participating in company networks, sharing information, guidance, best practices and lessons learned.
- Demonstrate the highest levels of integrity, character, and professionalism in every associate, customer, and client interaction.
- Develop business recommendations for improvements to business functions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Supply Chain, or a combination of related certifications and experience.
- Experienced in project environment in previous Procurement & Supply Chain roles.
- Advanced influencing, communication, and customer facing skills.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to perform essential functions of the job.
- Ability to travel domestically and may include internationally - 10% of the time.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 years of demonstrable Logistics and Trade Compliance experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS: When duties are performed in a typical office environment, extended periods of sitting at a desk and viewing a computer screen will be required. Also required is the ability to talk and hear, in person and by telephone; use of hands to handle, feel, or operate standard office equipment; and ability to reach with hands and arms. Associates are frequently required to walk and stand. The noise level in this work environment is usually quiet. When travelling to Client sites, essential requirements of this position may require physical presence in various environments and locations. Physical stamina may be required for prolonged standing, bending,
stooping, and/or working in cramped quarters. Exposure to potentially dangerous tools and equipment amidst a variety of building materials is probable, as is occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment can vary from being relatively quiet, to moderate, to excessive. Safety shoes or boots may be required in certain situations. Additional safety clothing including gloves, hardhats, and devices to protect eyes, mouth, or hearing, will be worn as necessary.
