Import Test Coordinator - DT
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
- Assists Senior Import Testing Specialist with duties and responsibilities of managing testing programs
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure daily communications with the testing labs, Vendors and Merchants are managed in a timely manner (24 – 48 hours)
- Learn, retain, and relay information to others all current, revised and new testing protocols
- Communicate and coordinate testing requirements with Import Vendors and GBI associates (Merchants, Legal and Imports)
- Assist the Senior Import Testing Specialist in the research of regulations and requirements to assist all Import Vendors and GBI associates (Merchants, Legal, Imports)
- Review all quote sheets (non-trip) and PO confirmations (trip) to determine if testing is required. When needed, discuss requirements with Legal.
- Review all vendor letters to stay up to date with new requirements and regulations.
- Communicate with testing labs to ensure accuracy of data in their on-line database and Test Reports
- Follow up with labs to ensure test results are released in a timely manner
- Review inspection reports to ensure vendor/factory compliance
- Evaluate monthly hold report for vendor trends
- Coordinate all sample submissions to Bureau Veritas Buffalo lab for testing and maintain spreadsheet of those items sent
- Maintain a detailed spreadsheet of all testing lab errors and issues to be reviewed during Quarterly meetings with testing lab Program Managers
- Record all discussions during testing lab quarterly meetings and recap in a word document for assertion into Import Meeting notes
- Research and summarize all CPSC product recalls and discuss with the team during the weekly Import meeting

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Proficient in Excel and Word
- Capable of interacting with various associate levels within the company
- Able to work effectively to meet deadlines
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Detail oriented
- Able to work independently, as well as with a team
