Description

Diraqโ€™s Export Controls & Global Trade Compliance Manager owns export control compliance for Diraq and will run Diraqโ€™s export control and global trade framework for its U.S. and Australian subsidiaries. This U.S.-based role reports to Diraqโ€™s Head of Legal & Compliance and is focused on ensuring compliance with the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and Australian Defence Export Controls (DEC / DSGL) and encompasses obligations under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) where applicable, particularly in the context of dual-use and AUKUS export control environments. The role combines hands-on execution with ownership of the export control compliance program

Requirements

  • Approximately 6โ€“8 years of experience in global trade compliance and export controls within a business environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. export controls, including the ITAR and EAR, together with practical familiarity with OFAC, and Australian Defence Export Controls.
  • Experience implementing, operating, or improving trade compliance processes across multiple jurisdictions, preferably in a technology, semiconductor, research, defense-adjacent, or other highly regulated environment.
  • Ability to interpret complex regulations and provide practical, risk-based guidance to technical, program, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgement, and the ability to manage documentation and process requirements with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Proactive communicator who can build collaborative relationships and operate effectively in a dynamic environment supporting multiple programs and stakeholders.
  • Eligibility to be appointed as an Empowered Official.
  • Awareness of dual-use export control processes and the AUKUS export control environment, including technology-sharing and releasability considerations across allied jurisdictions.
