Import/Export Controller

Description

Requirements:

• Import Registration of shipments on Easy Clear or similar programmes
• Frame & EDI Bills of Entries (Import - Sea freight) to SARS within the prescribed period according to the SARS Act.
• Submission of Cargo Dues on OTC.
• Experience with Tariff Heading Determination.
• Knowledge of Break Bulk, FCL & Bulk Shipments.
• Processing Landing Orders.
• Arrange Port Health, Plant Inspector, State Vet and NRCS Releases.
• Handle all Customs, SAPS and Borders police Stops until it is released.
• Effective stakeholder management and engagement, ensuring client requirements are executed in line with expectations.
• Management of supplier and client accounts, including the processing and administration of supplier and client invoices.
• Knowledge of Import / Export Control Act - Prohibited & Restricted goods.
• Solid Clearing and Forwarding Import and Exports experience required.
• Sound knowledge of shipping documents & procedures required.
• Must be able to work within a team and work unsupervised.
• Staying abreast of Industry changes.
• Good mathematical and analytical skill sets.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with ability to assist with problem solving and delivering on expectations.
• Matric Certificate, diploma in Customs Clearing and Logistics will be an advantage.
• Working experience of Min. of 5 years in Operations through Import and export activities for Medium / Large business.
