Sr. Export Compliance Specialist TCRS4738

HIGH-LEVEL OVERVIEW

The Senior Export Compliance Specialist is a subject matter expert who is responsible for classifying parts, equipment, and technology and ensuring international transfers are compliant with export and trade regulations including ITAR, EAR, OFAC, and CBP. 

This is a remote position open to candidates in certain US states.

EXPECTATIONS

· Determine and document classification designations for parts, equipment, and technology
· Interpret international trade regulations and apply them as required
· Ensure proper use of export authorizations including licenses, agreements, exemptions, and exceptions
· Provide guidance on international trade regulations and requirements to internal personnel
· Review contracts for global trade requirements
· Maintain required recordkeeping
· Prepare and review export documentation including commercial invoices, shipper's letters of instruction (SLI), and Electronic Export Information (EEI) filings
· Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on the business

ESSENTIALS

· 8+ years of experience in trade compliance
· Strong background in product ECCN/HTS classification
· Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical field a plus
· Extensive understanding of export control and international trade concepts including ITAR, EAR, OFAC, and FTR
· Familiarity with non-US trade regulations
· Proficiency with OCR EASE, DECCS, SNAP-R, and ACE
· Ability to work with minimal day-to-day guidance
· Effective time management skills
· Ability to interact effectively with diverse groups and work well within a team
