- Departmental Leadership: Oversee, coordinate, and manage the comprehensive daily
operations of the Customs & Trade Compliance Department.
- Vendor Management: Maintain and optimize daily communication, relationship building, and
performance tracking with freight forwarders and logistics companies.
- Bonded Cargo Management: Responsible for the customs declaration, compliance tracking,
and overall management of daily bonded goods/materials import and export activities.
- External Stakeholder Liaison: Establish and maintain smooth communication and operational
alignment with external cooperative entities and customs authorities.
- Inventory Reconciliation: Conduct regular inventory reconciliation and audits between the
Customs Department and various internal Business Units (BUs).
- Domestic Repairs & Gate Control: Manage the declaration and clearance processes for
domestic equipment repairs and oversee the daily checkpoint/gate registration for incoming
and outgoing goods.
- Consumables & Scrap Compliance: Responsible for customs filing/record-filing (Γ₯Β€Βæ‘Β) of
manufacturing consumables; execute monthly tracking, processing, and disposal/return
clearance of industrial scrap and waste materials.
- Ad-hoc Assignments: Execute other cross-functional tasks and related duties assigned by
executive leadership.
Requirements
- Education: Full-time Bachelorβs degree or above in Customs Declaration, International Trade,
- Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- Technical Skills: Highly proficient in MS Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on customs declaration experience
within the manufacturing sector; deeply familiar with standard import/export compliance and
customs clearance workflows.
- Core Competencies: Outstanding comprehensive capabilities, commercially sharp, strong
logical thinking, and highly analytical with data and numbers.
- Regulatory Expertise: Well-versed in Malaysian customs laws, statutory regulations, and local
import/export customs clearance procedures (e.g., Royal Malaysian Customs Department
regulations, LMW/FIZ frameworks).
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin is highly preferred.
