HIGH-LEVEL OVERVIEW

The Senior Compliance Specialist - is responsible for managing Free Trade Agreements (FTA) certificate solicitation, preparing and filing reconciliation claims while ensuring compliance with CBP rules and regulations. 

This is a remote position for candidates in certain states.

EXPECTATIONS

• Work with clients and suppliers to obtain documentation (BOMs, COO,etc) for FTA qualification
• Manage FTA certificate solicitation across assigned client portfolios
• Prepare and file FTA reconciliation claims with CBP
• Follow client Standard Operating Procedures
• Review, analyze, calculate, and file client entries to ensure accuracy and timely filings
• Perform data integrity checks and audits against client and ACE entry data
• Create compliance processes and work instructions
• Provide client support by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly in a professional manner

ESSENTIALS

• 5+ years of trade compliance experience, focused on valuation and FTA rules of origin
• High school diploma required, degree preferred
• In depth knowledge of CBP import entry process, including HTS, Country of Origin, and valuation
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with strong Access and Excel skills
• Solid analytical skills with emphasis on accuracy
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team player
